About me
I drove people crazy aways asking ‘why?’ as a child. I still do. At least now design gives me a good reason.
What I do
My work includes design for:
- visual identity and brand
- digital
- print ( smell that lovely ink … )
- environmental graphic design
- campaigns
- direct mail
- content
I am an advocate of user-first, accessible design.
I manage projects from start to finish, collaborate and strategise.
I code.
I mentor.
I help people with tricky requirements communicate clearly.
I find digging around a glyph palette far more entertaining than it should be.
A little more
Five things I enjoy:
- Black coffee
- Succulent plants
- Plywood
- Getting stuck into a good old typesetting session with a suitably good old soundtrack
- Back to the Future I and III
Five things I don’t enjoy as much:
- Double spaces
- Unruly electrical cables
- Unwelcome heights without a threshold
- Ampersands in running text, &c
- Back to the Future II
I believe in the power of the introvert.
I like to read / look.
If you’re feeling brave, I always welcome a conversation about why Cillit Bang’s ‘Barry Scott’ was a wonderful brand mascot. Be careful what you ask for.
See some of my work.
Say hello.
